Birth Prep Biomechanics
We discuss things like the connection of your breath with your pelvic floor, how to prepare your pelvic floor for delivery (hint: kegels ain't it!), understanding pelvis biomechanics, & how to push!
We strongly believe that preparation for birth is key in reducing fear surrounding birth. And that starts with understanding your body, what is happening within your body during birth, and how to prepare your body and mind for birth.
That is why we created Birth Prep Biomechanics!
This is not your typical childbirth education course, in fact, we don't really consider it a childbirth education course at all. This is more of understanding childbirth through a biomechanical, physical therapy lens.
We teach the connections of some of the key players in delivery, teach you how to prepare your pelvic floor, understanding your pelvic mechanics, and everyone's favorite topic - how to push!

I have been a physical therapist since 2013, but my dive into Women’s Health began after the birth of my first daughter in 2016. I had a great delivery and my recovery was really a breeze compared to some, but I still felt lost — this was NOT the stuff that I learned in PT school. And even though my providers meant well I remember being told “well you’re a PT, you know what to do.” I thought to myself, if I feel lost I can only imagine what a mama without my background feels like!
In 2018 I began actively pursing a specialization in Women’s Health and created my practice, Empower Physical Therapy & Wellness (now Empower Every Mama). In my time working with moms in all stages of motherhood I have realized that these women need more…and they DESERVE more!
Moms need flexibility. They need guidance. And they need support.
MamaStrong provides all of the above! We now have a Six Week Postpartum Recovery Program AND our newest Birth Prep Biomechanics Course! The BPB course is based on what I teach patients individually who come to me for one-on-one appointments regarding birth preparation, but it gives moms the flexibility of not having to work another appointment into their week. It also makes it easier to go through with partners since it is on your own time and can be accessed from the comfort of your own home.
